Fall is just around the corner, and we’re celebrating the abundance of the season with our annual Wallowa County Farmers Market Harvest Festival on Saturday, September 12th on 1st Street in Joseph.

Join us for a festive market day filled with local produce, farmers, makers, community, and a little bit of harvest-time fun!

 Apple Crisp & Peach Cobbler

Come hungry! We’ll have homemade apple crisp and peach cobbler available for sale, with proceeds benefiting the Wallowa County Farmers Market.

It’s a delicious way to celebrate the harvest while helping support our local market.

 Introducing the 1st Annual Zucchini Queenie Contest!

Calling all gardeners, growers, and anyone who discovered a zucchini hiding under the leaves that suddenly became enormous…

Can YOU grow the biggest zucchini in Wallowa County?

Bring your biggest zucchini to the Farmers Market on September 12th and enter it in our first-ever Zucchini Queenie Contest, sponsored by Hoof Hearted Farms.

The winner will be determined by weight, so bring us your biggest, most gloriously overgrown zucchini!

Contest Schedule:

• 11:00 AM — Zucchini weigh-in
• 12:00 PM — Coronation of our first Zucchini Queenie
• 12:00–2:00 PM — Meet-and-greet, adornment, and photos with the Zucchini Queenie

The winner will receive a Harvest Box and, perhaps even more importantly, the prestigious title of Zucchini Queenie for one full year!

Whether you’re entering the contest, coming for cobbler, shopping for the best of the season, or simply spending a Saturday with your neighbors, we hope you’ll join us.
